Open letter to patients, friends and colleagues of Dr. H. Evan Zeiger, Jr.:
Brookwood Neurosurgery and Spine and Norwood Clinic, Inc
confirm with great sadness the death of Dr. Evan Zeiger on March 6, 2010.
While all details are not available, we can confirm that Dr. Zeiger was killed in a plane crash in the Destin, Florida area. Our thoughts and prayers are with
Dr. Zeiger’s children and family.
Dr. Zeiger’s partners, Dr. Robert Robinson and Dr. Walter Haynes are committed to
provide continued excellent care for Dr. Zeiger’s patients. Please bear with our practice during this difficult transition and please be assured that your healthcare remains a priority to us.

Herbert Evan Zeiger, Junior, our beloved father, brother, son and friend, went to join the Father along with our precious mother, sister, friend and his beloved wife of 26 years, Margaret “Peggy” Shook Zeiger on Saturday, March 6, 2010. We are assured that they are rejoicing in the arms of Jesus after lives spent in the service of the Lord.
An open celebration of their lives will be held on Thursday, March 11, 2010 at 2:00 pm at the Church of the Highlands. The family will be available for visitation at 1:00 pm, preceding the service.
The family is requesting that donations be made to the H. Evan Zeiger, Jr. and Margaret Shook Zeiger Charitable Foundation in lieu of flowers. Donations may be made to the Foundation in care of Mr. Will Brooke, 2500 Lanark Road, Birmingham, Alabama 35223
